Artists asks- Kahlo
kahlo: what is a pro-tip/lesson that you learned from your past?
Oh man. Well this one pertains to school/university.
So my first year of university (last year ha) started out on a really bad note. I mean I’m a pretty shy person, so making friends was tough, but also the school aspect was extremely tough as well (the school part is what this pro-tip is about). I was signed up for a major that I thought my parents would want/ what a lot of other people were signing up for. But simply doing the work for these classes was so draining. I was tired all the time, I never wanted to eat, I seriously considered dropping out; overall it was just a bad experience. The whole time I was here, I was constantly thinking about the major that I really wanted to do and had a huge interest in, and finally, I decided to give it a shot. So I switched majors. To something I love. And the change was so immediate! It was crazy! I felt happier than I did for the first few months of school and I’m so excited to take classes for my new major, and that is such a thrilling feeling, especially for me, someone who hated school for such a long time.
In summary: find something that YOU are passionate about, even if others badger you or tell you it’s wrong. find something that makes YOU happy, and it will seriously make such a huge difference in your life.
Thanks for the ask! This is just my two cents :)
