I hear you, i feel you. I have a private mix playlist of this ship, which is the only playlist I’ve collected for anime ship because GenAoi reflects my love for crush romance. I did some sketches years ago ( can’t find them) of them vibing.

I view this ship as pure silent mutual crush with few flirty moments, angsty yet sweet. Perhaps they’d end together if Genya made it after the war. He’d be supporting Aoi’s loss of Shinobu, Genya will be needing recovery time but he is glad he cleared the smoke with his brother.

Speaking of Sanemi, he’d be pushing them together after hearing the tea from Goyomei XD he’d see it as a way for Genya to leave the corps, at least the fighting stage. OMG i have a lot to say about them honestly ahsjnaka

I have little humble knowledge of Avatar, but i definitely know the lore and Zuko will use Fire Breath and become Kyoujuoro's intellectual nightmare. I can imagine them having a lot of misunderstanding in an argument of the correct naming of the technique until Zuko bursts out and just perform it aggressively and burns everything around him .

In my opinion the only genya mlm ship that is good is gen/tan because I can see it honestly, they have nice moments together and their portrayal of Genya doesn't tend to be as bad as...other ones to say the least. It's a certain genya ship I have in mind but for the sake of not stirring anything I'll keep it to myself

yaoi ships aren’t my thing including every mlm ship of Genya Lmao. Especially Gentan. I have my filters out of this tag especially. They indeed have amazing moments and a working dynamic but i love seeing them platonic as possible.

It’s like Genya being the brother getting Tanjirou’s back and vice versa. Looking out for each other after knowing Genya’s troubled relationship with Sanemi and Tanjirou’s obsession of spreading his big bro energy around. They’re not crafting flower crowns for each other, they are men in war. Hit me with that BROTP dose and i’ll melt.

KNY is all about siblingshood, its cute to see how other characters could be paired platonically. Even Sanegiyu is a stretch to call it enemies to lovers. Hating someone’s attitude doesn’t make them an enemy. I can’t stand my sister’s voice and i often scoff her off my sight ( i am the baddest elder daughter LMAO) but she isn’t my enemy, i’d kill for her. Sanemi and Giyuu are comrades, pillars, they are bound to look for each other. Perhaps after the war they do open up for each other, but that doesn’t make them “lovers”, nah bro have you ever made a friend out of someone you couldn’t stand before? That’s a very touchy and lovely relationship that speaks volumes louder than sexualized/romanticized relationship.

Alas, we are here for the fun. Do you, be creative. But i don’t like it when ships/characterization becomes an obliged lore of a fandom.

I don’t like how he is shipped left and right with all the boys in the fandom he is portrayed differently andoften robbed from his cool aura. I am used to all sort of ships in fandoms but i am flabbergasted of how Genya is perceived.

Mitsuri is badly designed to convey any sort of feminine representation. In our theaters, the regional distributor had her modestly dressed in the movie, which made her sight a bit bearable to my eyes. Some people enjoy her, and I enjoy some fanworks/fics of her, but i can't stand her canon scenes. It is just me not being into fanservice/shoujo girls. Also, I don't like the reincarnation chapter i am having a hard time making peace with it. Just show me they all regrouped in Heavens together, let me see Hakuji apologizing to Kyoujurou, and Tanjirou reunited with his ghost family. But i am not a mangaka with a famous series, what i am asking for doesn't make sense. All I mean is , Gotouge, you've tears on your hands. My tears. Which are enough to fill onsens for Uzui and his wives.

Also all Genya ships are off XD Only GenAoi is cute.
