I avoided hot topic for like 3 years and it made my little nerd heart sad. Freshman year of high school my best friend at the time said she liked me. I was still figuring out my sexuality and we're both girls so I was like Idk right. We were still good moved passed it. Then sophomore year I figured it out and I liked her. Told her. She didnt feel that way anymore which is fine. Now about a month before this she like slyly avoided me for some reason. So after a bit I was like you dont have to do it slyly its good just tell me if you wanna stop being friends. That got resolved a little before I told her. Then after I told her she went back to slyly avoiding then summer came like a month or two later, so we stopped talking. So I avoided where she worked for a few years. She worked at Hot Topic and my nerd heart was sad. We graduated. I just went christmas shopping and I was like yes I can go to hot topic cause she always said she was going to leave after HS. (We live in a smallish town.) Went to HT, great time. Went to target next. Guess who FUCKING WORKS AT TARGET. And I was so happy to avoid the awkwardness then I didnt. Just for the record it was most definitely awkward.
