Mark. Gel Shine Nail Enamel in Nutty Berry
This product is advertised on the Avon website as a one coat nail enamel. I must admit I wasn’t holding my breath! The first coat went on very smoothly and to my surprise didn’t actually need a second one. It took about 5 minutes to be touch dry. I left it about 15 minutes before applying the Top Coat.
I did apply a second coat to my left hand just to see how much of a difference it made. The second coat did give a richer deeper colour but I didn’t feel it made enough difference to do this every time I used the product.
The colour once on is slightly lighter to what’s shown online and in the brochure.
Overall I would give the Nail Enamel 5 stars.
Mark. Gel Shine Top Coat
I was less impressed with the Top Coat. It went on smoothly like the Nail Enamel but took a long time to dry. I waited about 30-45 minutes before I felt it was dry enough to go about my day.
Because of the length of time it took to dry, I would give the Top Coat 4 stars.
I really liked the look of my nails once they were painted. The nails with just 1 coat lasted 7 days before chipping, whereas the nails with 2 coats only lasted 3. Removing the enamel was easy and didn’t leave any residue which some cheaper varnishes can do.
Avon Mark. Gel Nail Enamel comes in 32 shades including 5 shimmer colours.
Since writing this review 4 new Spring shades have been added.
