After some real headaches on the technical end of this, Awake: Chapter 7 is finally up for Sparkler Monthly subscribers! (Paywall will be removed on Friday.) Awesome illustration above is by Angela, aka guzusuru, aka the fantastic animator who did this for Tokyo Demons.

Of all the audio that Rebecca's put together (between Tokyo Demons Audio and now), the opening scene of this chapter is her most jaw-dropping technical achievement yet. It has over 50 overlapping tracks for a 3-minute burst of action--a bunch of people screaming through multiple filters, the ship's creepy A.I. overlapping with herself, and tons of terrifying sound effects. The end result in so intense that we slapped a Trigger Warning on it: this is a realistic audio representation of a bunch of people trying to save someone from drowning. And you'll feel like you're right there.

It's insane, you guys. You have to hear it to believe it.
