Things I'm Grateful for #25 - Trip/get togethers with Friends
So I went to my friend's hometown during my annual leave because
JYCW is back from South Korea!
I miss her and her family.
I had leave in-lieu to use up.
I'm glad I forgot to bring my passport along for the trip. Turns out it was blissful days indeed. Basically over the 3 days, we drove, hunted for food, turned on our laptops for freelance work, and read in various places (donut shop, the house in general) and hung out in the pavilion next to a koi pond. We also shared a very nice bottle of Cienna Rosa. JY's mom even bought me loads of stuff to bring back. I feel so loved in that place. We slept in as much as we wanted. Mucked about if we wanted. Had plenty of desserts. Just like how any holiday should be.
Then coming back to the city, I went for a farewell/birthday party with my cohort. Had loads of fun making conversations to smart, intelligent and conscientious folk. It really brings home how much I miss intelligent conversations about random things in our lives which interconnects what we do, what we want to do, and what interests us. Must find more opportunities such as these to do so.
A real holiday from work was really long overdue. My previous "holidays" since starting in this company, has always been about work. This was the best holiday ever.
less than one week away from my vacation! YESSSSSSSSSSSS!
