Poly Problems: Announcements

When your poly friends from out of town announce they’re having twins, then sign the letter as  “Tower, Tower’s wife, Lola and the twins”, and  you sit there wondering if you’ve ever met Lola and who all is choosing to partake in parenting, then think all of them, of course, just look at how they signed the announcement. Then remember that Lola is their dog. 

Which is all to say congrats to an an awesome queer, poly couple. Especially to Tower, who in carrying the twins as a butch lesbian is further breaking down our binaries.

Gothic Tropic - Awesome Problems: Kind of psych, kind of brazilian sounding, kind of motorik? Sounds a lot like the name is the best description I can think of. Very primal vibes in parts, which makes it break out of its reverb-y LA indie rock shell. Pretty neat!

How do you hockey?

I was just invited (along with Mrs. MMLTD) to a Capitals game tonight by a couple of neighbors we really like, but haven't spent much time with.  I don't know much about hockey other than (1) the Caps have shown promise, but haven't made it far into the playoffs recently, and (2) there's skating involved.  On ice.  With sticks.

They're playing the Jets, which makes sense because they're terrible at football, so they might as well try another sport (rimshot!).

Seriously, I'm going to be lost here.  And these are ridiculously good tickets.  Any good pointers from hockey fans out there?
