MAYA HAS NEVER BEEN THE TYPE of person who has a lot of friends. The combination of her deafness & awkward social behaviour never really helped, add on top of it the fact that you can excel at anything you want without effort -- kids get jealous of things like that, & so do adults. But when she met Clint she knew there was something great within him. He was just struggling to find it, like she had. It’s been a long time, but she’d be lying if she said it wasn’t good to see his face.
