For once it actually felt like a warm day. At least, it was warm enough for the Gryffindor student to suggest to Mattie that they did their homework together out on the grounds. Here there already seemed to be a lack of motivation, sitting on his jumper, his sleeves rolled up and his tie loosened as he laid back to enjoy the sunshine. His study books were securely away in his bag, slung to the side and forgotten about as he waited for the witch.

       From what he’d heard, with all of the rumors circulating about, there would be a new student with them, a foreign one at that. From what little he’d heard, she was a girl and she was from America. He thought that only people from Japan were accepted, but then again talent could come from anywhere in the world, thus he shouldn’t be shocked to hear that someone from America was coming to Hope’s Peak Academy. Of course, everyone was talking about what she would be like, what her talent would be, and whether or not she was cute. All of the regular things when a newcomer was announced.

       He was interested, probably because of the fact that he’d never met someone from America before, but he wasn’t really interested in the gossip and general talk about her since they could only theorize what she would be like. For all they knew, she could be a recluse or arrogant, they just didn’t know.        It didn’t take long for the day to arrive that the transfer student would be arriving and a silent anticipation had set over the students, Mondo included. They were all anxious to see what she looked like, sounded like, and how she acted. Thus, when the newcomer came through the door, it was as though everyone had released the breath they didn’t even know they were holding. From what Mondo could see, this one had tanned skin, brunette hair, and the strangest, yet most captivating yellow eyes he’d ever seen. She was definitely American, that was for sure.

Lance was unfazed by Mattie’s words, blinking with his one good eye as he felt the other swelling up even more. It had to be a clear fact that everyone knew. Talk shit about Mattie and he’d be there to beat the shit out of them. Which he’d done, after the other boy managed a few lucky shots.”You sure you’re ok?” he asked in all seriousness, his one good eye looking closely at her features. She looked upset - but that could of been about him. He wasn’t really sure.
