Now and then my heart drops. Maybe it happens more than it should. This needs to be seen, loved, and read. Often I am told to accept my place in the void. That I should just acknowledge that my views don't expand outside of myself, and no matter how much I yearn for it to, when I might meet one or two people that understand, it fills me with hope, but often I'm led to wonder if this hope is false. It was a bright and sunny day when I happened upon the squirrel crying from atop his house. He sounded scared and mournful and I worried that he was up there and didn’t know how to get down. That was silly though. He got himself up there. Maybe he was calling to the homeowner to bring him food. Maybe he was just singing in some weird squirrelly way.
