Welp. I think my nose is broken. It's like muggers don't appreciate the value of my beautiful face!
The range was set to close in about half an hour, and Clint was all about ready to pack up shop early. There hadn't been a lot of people in today, save for that one guy who'd given him a big tip for some lessons. Crappy archer, too, but Clint was hardly one to say no to some extra cash. He was just counting what was in the register when he heard the door open. "What can I do you for?" he smiled as he spoke, whirling around to face the newcomer.
Clint could honestly say this was the strangest party he had ever been to. Not that that was a bad thing. He'd already met two of the most attractive women he'd ever seen, and even danced with one. And he'd had an enormous plate of expensive cheese. What could be better? Well, a couple things, but so far he'd managed to not make a fool of himself, not get into any trouble, and not sustain any injuries. That was a win in the Barton book. Never mind that he had to go back to work tomorrow because Frank liked to take Sundays off which meant that Clint couldn't. (He got Mondays and part of Wednesdays off instead). Sure, he'd probably be exhausted when the range opened at nine tomorrow, but it seemed as if it would be worth it, even if he hadn't yet seen Natalia. Maybe he could text her and ask if she might stop by the range tomorrow for a lesson, if he didn't see her here. Point was, all in all, this was a good party, even if he hadn't figured out why that Queen guy had magically survived. Well hey, the night was still young. Perhaps he'd find out yet. So he went searching for the guy before finally spotting him in another room. As he peered around the corner, it was just like him to snag his dress shirt- the only one he owned- own an expensive looking silver platter of olives, which proceeded to clatter loudly to the floor, and spill juices all over his clean white shirt. "Aww," he grinned sheepishly, looking down at the spilled food before back up at the other guests. "Well this looks bad."
