Here are a few pictures of my final model, I attached the walls together using wood glue and with the help of a classmate nailed each piece of wood into each other, the combo of both of these has provided enough strength for the walls to hold themselves together. I also added some black lines to the base coming out from the direction of the explosion to create the illusion of scorch marks which you will see at the location of explosions. In general I really enjoyed this project and I am happy that I tackled it and in the future I think I will attempt this again as this made me feel very out of my depth which has helped me improve my creative process and thinking.

Here is the exploding wall behind my character, I decide to paint the walls black and I then added fluff from inside a pillow going up from the wall to create the idea of smoke billowing out as a result of the explosion. The only thing I need to do is attach all three walls together but I'm not sure how I will do it, I will use the next week to think of ideas on how to safely attach the walls so that they will be stable.

Here is the head of my model that I am extremely happy with, luckily my first eye was perfect but trying to then recreate it on the other side provided to be much more difficult than I expected and I had to redo it multiple times. I have also decided to create an expressive background that plants my character into a location so I decided to add an exploding wall behind him as they are commonly seen in anything spy related.

I have forgotten to take progress pictures of my model but here I am so far, It has been interesting creating a model building it up stage by stage such as creating a wire armature before then adding tin foil on top to bulk it up and now I am adding plasticine on top as the final layer.

Here I have come up with more information that may be attributed to my character allowing me to have a lot more freedom with the character design as having the information wrote down helps me focus more on the project compared to having it only in my head. I also sketched a new drawing that my model of the character will be based upon and I feel like this will be better than the generic poses that I sketched him in previously.

When looking back at the original ideas I feel like I like the lizard idea the best so I went back and drew a few more sketches that I feel like fit the idea of a spy much better. Now going on from this I feel like I can make more progress on improving upon and fleshing out my original idea.

From my three ideas I like the sound of the raccoon and the lizard ideas the best so I sketched up a couple of drawings of what the characters could look like. I’ve struggled for a good idea for the lizard but I have come up with a couple of good sketches for the raccoon including having it hold a magic wand or a bow tie or maybe even a top hat. I’ve even looked at making the character look a a little more realistic vs more cartoony.

For this task we were asked to come up with ideas for a woodland character pitch where we have to create a model of our character and six possible episodes that can be made with this character as the focus.
