Merry Christmas, Baby|Alexis and Axel
It was early morning when Alexis started to wake up. Her eyes fluttering open as she yawned, turning over to look at their bedroom window, seeing the sky dimly lit by the pending sunrise. Having just moved into their new house less than a week ago, Alex didn’t have much time to unpack everything or go shopping for the things they needed. Curtains were one of them. As she smiled, Alexis began to slowly get out of bed trying her best to not wake up her sleeping husband. She had remembered Axel telling her that he had never really had a proper Christmas before, and Alex had made a mental note of that. Now that the two were somewhat settled, what better way to celebrate your first Christmas? Especially since it would be their first Christmas together and in their new home. Alexis quietly made her anything of their bedroom, throwing on her bathrobe that laid on top of a pile of clothes that had yet to be washed and put away. It was hard to see in the dark, and she prayed she didn’t bump into any of the many boxes floating around. Quickly slipping into the hallway, Alexis tiptoed quickly to the stairs and down them with a giddy smile plastered on her face. Before she began making their breakfast, she went into the living room where Alexis had set up a small tree with lights and fake presents underneath. All except for two. String lights hung around the big room, illuminating everything with a colorful, soft glow and she smiled proudly to herself. Having pulled all of this off after Axel went to sleep last night, and he didn’t even have a clue. Especially about the presents that Alex had waiting for him. She hoped that this was going to be one Hell of a first Christmas for Axel. Lighting up the fireplace and turning on the radio to softly play Christmas music, Alexis then went to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast of French toast, syrup, powdered sugar and homemade whipped cream. Alex topped it off with freshly cut strawberries, stealing a few to settle down the little hands and feet that kicked around inside her stomach. “Okay, okay,” she chuckled as her hand rubbed her belly. “Let’s hope daddy likes it, my little man.” She placed their food in the over to keep it warm, then looked everything over once more. With a nervous sigh, Alexis went back upstairs to their bedroom where Axel was still asleep. By now the sun had risen a little more, allowing more light to enter their room. Slipping under the covers, Alexis began to kiss at the back of her husband's neck. “Merry Christmas, papa bear," she mumbled against his warm skin.
