hii good morning. electricity was out this morning - have the rwl doodles from then
[ image desc: five doodles of characters from reading within lines, op's original story. in the first, is a simplified drawing of the Aurora Spirals, which visually is just northern lights. it has 'AS' written in the corner of the doodle.
in the second, kevin and iffaeh are standing together, looking uneasy. they have a chat bubble between the two of them that contains ellipses.
in the third, kevin holds a long piece of paper and writes something in it. someone off-screen asks, "what's that?" kevin responds, "my will."
in the fourth, iffaeh is holding up ayaru (previously: cordelia), which is a blob of different colors with a small crown on it's head. iffaeh says, "meet my baby."
in the fifth, kevin has atinna on his shoulder, atinna being a similiar blob of color with a crown on its head. kevin looks slightly uneasy, but otherwise fine. he says, "this is my child. it adopted me." // end id ]
Was supposed to be a 2 panel comic but I can't figure out how I want the second panel to look so just gonna post it as it is
Rough sketches for 2nd panel under the cut
They were supposed to be statues of 3 goddesses (based on the furies)
And right here was a quick thing I put together for myself to reference what they look like
Trying to figure out some lore stuff too:
-There was a time when the world was first being created that the Gods were fighting for who would rule and Acherhasu, God of War, was the one to win through his battle tactics and unstoppable fits of rate, along with the help of his son Ro, who he created.
-Since then, Acherhasu has calmed down and has grown more into the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. Ro hasn't quite gotten there. Mortals debate amongst themselves what he represents: conquest, catastrophe, wrath, etc. It's caused a huge split in the way different regions worship him. Some imperialistic nations pray to him for better luck taking over other countries, some pray to him in the hopes to appease him when natural disasters are predicted to hit, etc.
-With Ro actually being the God of Justice and Retribution, those who've died in his name are sent to his realm. He's taken a liking to 3 in particular and together, they've grown to know each other as siblings.
-Alea is the youngest. She embodies the feelings of wrath and revenge victims hold.
-Alm is the next one. Though all three sisters are involved with the punishment of mortals in the after life, she finds the most enjoyment out of it.
-Ayaru is the oldest, under Ro. She used to be just as angry as her siblings regarding those who hurt others, but she's calmed down over the years. She deals with the rehabilitation and edification of wrong-doers with the hope and belief that most can change for the better and that redemption is possible.
-Even so, those who get on the bad side of one sibling, or even their father, can expect to get on the bad sides of all the others.
-With Ro, among certain other Gods, being sent to the mortal realm to serve their punishments, his sisters watched over him from afar.
I got a new tablet today XD Testing it out with a few reference sketches of a new character. There will be more about her later but I just wanted to test out my new tablet.
Chuuya carrying Dazai bridal style to lessen the bruising in his shakled ankles. Aya carrying Hikaru bridal style when he got a sprain in his ankle during a mission.
Aya silently looking at Hikaru while a group of girls go around his table. Aya putting a poker face on when she hears that a girl plans to confess to Hikaru under the cherry blossom tree. Aya quietly getting her things when the girl puts a letter inside Hikaru's locker. Aya walking alone because she doesn't want to disturb Hikaru's soon-to-be-girlfriend. Dazai with a sad smile on when he sees his daughter, remembering that this was the same expression he held when the guests to talk to Chuuya.
this is green envy | dazai and aya | slave au
Dazai studies the pale, crumpled face of his daughter, how her eyes have misted over into somewhere far off. “Is everything okay?”
“He’s got a girlfriend,” Aya blurts out suddenly, a tear streaking down her cheek. “Hikaru — He’s — A girl today …”
She doesn’t have to say anymore.
He understands.
“Oh, Aya,” Dazai sighs, taking his daughter in his arms. Aya buries her face in Dazai’s neck and sobs loudly. Dazai strokes his hands down her back, patting and whispering that it’s okay.
How long has it been since he’s held Aya as she cries? He’d held Aya all the time when she was little, when the very sight of Fyodor would set her off crying, after falls or bumps or disappointments. When she was tiny, and her cry had been anything and everything.
It’s been some time since.
Dazai holds his daughter and breathes in the smell that is hers, feels the tears falling hot on his skin. “It’s okay,” Dazai murmurs, rocking her in his arms. “You deserve someone better.”
