Brazilian Skipper Butterfly on playing card Mixed Media 2021 This butterfly is larger than other skipper Butterflies. They lay their eggs on Canna plants. The caterpillar eats it’s way out of the egg. They then eat the Canna Lily leaf until they are able to fold the leaf. They stay upside down inside the upper side of the flap when not eating. In a way they create their own womb until ready to emerge and spread their wings. As humans we are emerging every day as we fight our own inner struggles.
