About: Gyun Jisook was born in Seoul, South Korea to a poorer family, though her parents always made sure that their children never really felt the effects of their income status. They always drilled the importance of school and hard work into their daughters, simply because they wanted their kids to have good lives once they were older, hopefully more secure ones than they had growing up. Jisook loves her parents dearly even though she sometimes feels a little suffocated by them, despite knowing that they’re just trying to do their best that they can.Spotlight Entertainment first found her after a talent agent scouted her off of the street while she was out with friends. And to Jisook, who always wanted to be a performer despite her parent’s push towards a business job, was ecstatic about that happening. And while her parents wanted her to be happy, they still hesitantly supported their daughter in her even though they knew that it wasn’t something guaranteed to work out.

It was the year that she turned nineteen, she officially debut as a soloist even though there had been a little talk about her debuting within Iris. Her debut gained quick attention from the sexy and daring concept that she had, and that continued a pattern through her career, most of her comebacks more shocking to the public than the last.

While Jisook loves her career and loves the music that she puts out, she wants to be known for more than just a pretty face or a hot body because she knows that she has more to offer than just a pretty face. Aside from doing all she can to help her parents out, Jisook is also big on community help and charity work, especially donating as much of her volunteer time as she can as well as money.
