It had become a regular occurrence for him to sleep here in the last couple of months. The idea of leaving Ayla here to take care of the baby herself didn’t sit right with him. If she was sleepless, he should be as well. So he started sleeping on her couch most nights after Hallie’s brith. Tonight, however, he had dozed off next to Ayla while reading, his book light was still on. Adam had been sleeping for an hour and a half or so when he heard a cry from the bassinet on the other side of the bed. Ayla’s side. Shutting off his light, he pushed himself off of the bed slowly, hoping to get to Hallie before she woke Ayla. ( @noreqviem )
