charlotte knew something was up when she got an owl from aylie, asking her to come over to her dorm. the two were close, but they usually met at places like the dining hall or library. and aylie made it seem urgent. so charlotte rushed through all of the moving stairs and passwords in order to get to aylie’s dorm room as soon as she possibly could. she knew that her friend needed her. she knocked on the door softly before coming in and sitting on the bed next to aylie. “hey,” she said in a soft voice. “what’s going on?”

leo had the biggest, most pathetic crush on her and even though he’s already moved on from that, he still has a soft spot for aylie? like he’s lowkey hashtag whipped and still can be rather awkward when she’s around. don’t blame him! leo likes pretty things and aylie is very, very pretty.

this was about two years ago — they were out on a drive and were bopping along to party in the usa! leo had one hand on the steering wheel and he was waving his other hand along to the music. aylie was singing, her voice was clear and lovely and god when leo turned around to steal a quick glance he couldn’t help but stare because she was beautiful even with the wind messing her hair up and blocking most of her face.

there isn’t really a particular memory that stands out — it’s just? the constant feeling of longing that he used to get when aylie was around was painful, and trying to come to terms with the fact that aylie will never see him as more than a friend sucked. love sucks!
