AYS Episode 3
Theory: Jimin hungover?
Am I the only one that thought Jimin was just hungover in episode 3 of Are You Sure?! A lot of people are guessing motion sickness, and that is totally possible. Maybe they know something I don’t since I haven’t made it through enough old content to know if Jimin gets motion sick. I just thought hangover when I watched it.
It started when Jimin said he thought he would puke if he ate. Was obviously feeling nauseous, but didn’t seem to be in the same kind of digestive issues as last time and he otherwise seemed fine. And there was no mention of being “sick/ill”, so I felt like everyone knew why Jimin felt like vomiting.
I initially thought motion sickness since they were driving when it was first brought up. But that usually resolves after a while and he obviously continued to feel nauseous for a long time. And although I haven’t seen all the BTS content out there, we’ve seen Jimin on boats and in cars several times during AYS without feeling like vomiting.
He also said his body is not the same anymore. That was a big one for me. I might be projecting, but I have said that often and definitely after drinking.
It’s also how both Jimin and the others acted. No one seemed overly concerned and Jimin seemed to be in good spirits overall. Plus, feeling sick seemed to be something that could be quickly triggered or made better.
When Jimin obviously felt nauseous from Jungkook and Tae’s head banging, they were the opposite of concerned and even found it funny. I just don’t see them reacting that way if Jimin were sick. However, there is something entertaining about someone paying for partying a little too hard, not knowing their limits or realizing they are getting older. My spouse never laughs at me when I have a headache and is always sympathetic, even if it’s a mild one. But the morning after I’ve had a little too much wine, my spouse will ask me with a smile on their face if I have a headache. And we both laugh at each other getting older. grey hair and wrinkles on your partner are hilarious and I am going to die of laughter when someone’s balls touch the toilet water
But don’t be mad, even Jimin found it funny. Plus, hugging floor seemed to solve everything.
So that’s why I had initially thought he was hungover. It seemed totally possible that they all drank together the night before and found it humorous that Jimin was paying for it. But I could totally be wrong. Do you guys know something I don’t? Does Jimin get bad motion sickness that doesn’t go away?
