I truly hope you didn't mean Sam. Because he isn't. He was indeed sick, but he was trying so hard, and he didn't want anyone babying him or making him the little child, he wanted to believe he is okay, he didn't know Dean saw the blood this morning, so he felt like Dean is treating him like a child.
Again, I might misunderstand you, but really, he wasn't a brat. He never is.
