#3791 - Tetragonia trigyna - Beach Spinach
"Three-angled Four-Angle", refering to the way the fruit usually contains three seeds, instead of the four common in the rest of the genus.
Synonyms include Tetragonia expansa var. strongylocarpa, Tetragonia strongylocarpa and Tetragonia implexicoma var. chathamica.
Native to Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands, and New Zealand. Despite the common name, not just known from coastal areas, although it's certainly most common there. Sometimes in farmland where it grows in hedges or on alkaline outcrops in otherwise dense forest.
Edible, if used like spinach or kale.
