Azora Arcano + Nightshade Azora Arcano was born to Reyna Arcano and had two siblings, Alatar and Asterin. She grew up idolizing her grandma Iolanthe's command, power, and knowledge. Azora longed for power too and eventually grew up to be cold and uncaring, only seeking out anything to gain power. She ended up securing a high ranking position as an Auror within the Norwegian Ministry. One day, her team raided a dragon fighting ring and Azora found an unusual dragon, one she had never seen before. It was an amphithere, a long wyrm serpent like dragon with wings. Its scales were a deep emerald but it was hard to tell due to the thick black smoke that poured from the dragon and obscured its form. Azora would later learn, to her dismay as she started to tame it, that the dragon also could spray an acid like venom. She would eventually gain two things, an acid scar on one side of her face, and the respect and command of her new dragon companion. He would be named Nightshade.

The start of the First Wizarding War caused a rift between her and the rest of her family, as she found herself drawn to the Dark Lords side. Azora agreed that their magic should stay within pureblood circles. Eventually she was cast from the family, no longer welcome in Skalafell as she transferred to the British Ministry to be closer to Voldemort. She wondered if he could be the key to helping her discover why no Arcano women had been born with the Gift in over 50 years, a power she so desperately craved....
