You know you're getting older when your favourite seiyuus that used to voice the gung-ho and overly enthusiastic or aloof and anti social high school athletes are now voicing the disgruntled coaches of said high school athletes.

Case in point;

Kusao Takeshi as Azuma Ryuji in Free! and Midorikawa Hikaru as Akimitsu Bizen in Re:Main.

Used to voice eternal rivals, Sakuragi Hanamichi and Rukawa Kaede in Slam Dunk.

Free: the relay is the wonder balm

So the Ikuya arc was wrapped up quite neatly, and with a new sort of medley.

Now while I did enjoy it, I kind of felt like this story line was too much of a repetition of the previous two seasons. Because trust your friends and swin with Haru is sort of staples in the show. So anyway I’m glad that its over and that everyone is friends again and they are all going to the same tournament.

But I’m super excited for this new arc!

A new Mikoshiba! which is great I love her, but I wonder if she’s too much of a cross between Gou and her brother’s, because having her be anything like Gou is a bit weird considering that both her brothers appear to have a crush on Gou.

BUT

I’m loving all these new boys! Love that Mikhail and Ryuji were rivals of the same sort as Rin and Haru, and that Ryuji is PKH Azuma, because that’s just hilarious!

I’m also excited to find out how things are going to pan out for Haru now that a swimmer whose swimming is literally out of this world has appeared?
