Hurt puppy// Amy and Sven @azureflameprotector
Amy had just finished an exhausting photoshoot. They had been shooting for fifteen hours and ever bone in her body hurt. Picking up her purse and, much to her chagrin, putting on her tennis shoes she waved to some of the staff. They had had her in agonizing heels the entire time and she wanted nothing more than to go barefoot. She shouldered her bag and headed for the door, waving one last time. Pushing open the door she headed down the stairs since the elevator was on the other side and she was just not walking that far. She checked her phone on the way down and noticed it was two in the morning “jeez” she muttered as she slipped her phone back into her pocket and pushed open the door to the outside.
She breathed in the cool night air and smiled as it hit her. She had always been a bit of a night owl, enjoying the calmness of the night. This was why she didnt mind late night shoots. Next door to the place she had been shooting was a bubble tea shop that she had been going to since they had been shooting there. She stopped and got the strawberry bubble tea she always got and thanked the lady with a smile. Her apartment was not far from there so she hadn’t bothered to drive. As she walked toward her home and drank her drink she came upon an alley. She passed that alley frequently, it had never bothered her. She heard someone had gotten stabbed there once but she wasn’t scared. As she was walking by the alley she noticed a dark figure, about the size of a large dog. She could hear it whining and appeared to be licking itself. Afraid that the dog was hurt she slowly approached. The kids around here could be assholes and probably beat it or something.
Throwing away what was left of her drink in a nearby trashcan she walked slowly into the ally. Idly, she thought to herself that this would be the part of the scary movie where the entire audience was telling her not to go in there but she mentally shrugged and proceeded like any true horror movie idiot would. She made kissing noises at the dog to try to get it to come to her. The alley didnt get much light from the street so she couldn't really see how hurt the dog was. When the idea struck she pulled out her phone and turned on the flashlight. Her hand flew to her mouth at the sight. It appeared that the god had gotten into a fight with something. It had several wounds. What struck her more though were its big green eyes. She had never seen a dog with eyes like that. Carefully she reached out to pet the dog. “its ok. its ok. you’re hurt aren’t you” she said softly. She was wracking her brain trying to think if she had anything she could use as a leash to get the dog back to her apartment. The she remembered she had a scarf. Taking the scarf off she gently tied it around the dog’s neck. “there we go. I won’t hurt you” she stood up and took the end of her make shift leash “come on boy. its ok” she didn't have any food on her to bribe the dog with and she seriously hopped she wasn't going to be dinner. when the dog began to follow her she smiled “good boy” she frowned at all of the injuries this poor dog had. She would do what she could and then take it to the vet in the morning.
Once she got to her apartment she unlocked her door and let the dog inside. Hopping it wouldn’t use her apartment as a toilet, she went to grab some old blankets so that she could make it a bed and take care of its wounds, leaving the dog alone for a few minutes.
