Because it's hard to describe, I guess. It is (a) more direct, more immediate, and (b) very different in scope from every other desire-but-not-sexual that someone ever has.
As far as (a) goes, it's immediate. Desire for an immediate food, for instance. Desire for a drink. Desire for sex. You find out it's there, and you act on it.
But desire for sex with the most beautiful woman you've ever seen is different. It's not immediate. It's not something you find out about right away. It feels more like you already have the desire but don't realize it yet. In fact, I doubt you can know about its existence until you're right there in the arms of the person (who is just as nervous as you) and it's the first thing you both notice.
