Upstate New York rap crew Alpha Faktion embrace the roots of Hip-Hop and connect with one of the culture’s most legendary contributors on “The Lineage,” produced by the one and only Marley Marl. The head-nodding single stems from the June 2 release of the group’s official debut LP, 'Creative Control,' in which the trio of Azwun, Kraze ILLA, and DJ Enyoutee connect with some of rap’s finest producers, including the likes of Nottz (“Creative Control”), Marco Polo (“System Shutdown”), Ayatollah (“The Real Truth”), and of course Marley Marl. On “The Lineage,” the Hip-Hop godfather provides Alpha Faktion with an instrumental bursting with Golden Era charm and grit in the form of looping violins and slapping drums.
