i do actually want to write about the dynamics at play in this whole (ludicrous, baseless, unfair, invalid) call-out process, but i am not even sure where to start. should i start with the fact that any and all anon hate is being blamed on me? should i mention that my (THREE YEAR OLD) apology is taken, not as evidence that i've changed my ways or attempted to take responsibility, but as evidence that anonymous harassment must be coming from me? or how about the completely insane accusation that the only reason i chose to fight deportation orders against refugees in ireland is to "atone" for my Tumblr Crimes?

Hi there! I appreciate your post bringing awareness to anti-Asian racism and very much appreciate that you did it without being anti-black. I’m black but deeply invested in uplifting all my friends and family of color, and my heart is so soft and full of love for our Asian-American community. The only way to heal our respective intra-community conflicts is by acknowledging them and taking accountability for causing pain to each other which I will continue to work hard to do in my community. I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that we do care very much and love y’all a lot, and you deserve healing and safety and peace, always. In solidarity ✊🏽💖

thank you!! there is, unfortunately, so much anti blackness and colorism within asian communities, and i 100% did not want to perpetuate that w my post (honestly it was a 2 am shit post that blew up 😅). it’s so frustrating to see people doing so in the notes tho 🤦🏻‍♀️ but i agree with you about everything you said, and i appreciate this ask a lot. much love!

also, like, while i appreciate the sentiment, when you say "i will always believe you, immediately, if you tell me someone is racist" you're actually opening yourself up to be manipulated. and if this kind of thinking becomes endemic, it opens up entire groups to being manipulated. this isn't saying that people of color, in general, are lying when they say something is racist. but if your policy is "immediately believe without question" like... obviously that means if someome DOES decide to lie, you're going to fall for it. and further, it actually makes "accuse x person of being racist" INTO an effective avenue to attack or discredit that person. it's not actually radical! it's the definition of performative. and, say what you will about me, i have actual anti-racist work to do in the real world, so thanks but no thanks, k-pop blogger.
