*standing in formation about to greet NCOIC*
Me: Good morning sergeant!
SSG: Good morning...wait *squints* where's your rank?
Me: My rank?
*feels for rank patch on ACU top.*
SSG: No the one on your PC.
Me: It's not there?!
* freaks out so i take the patch off my top*
SGM: *finished talking with the soldier next to me [soldier (M)]* So you don't have any appointments in the morning?
That means you can run with us today even though you don't have your Promask, correct? How about you Sierra, same thing as your battle?
Me: *turns around, goes to parade rest* Yes sergeant major. Actually I have an appointment with a counselor...
SGM: *interupts me* Where's your rank Sierra!?
Me: I just noticed that I didn't have it SGM.
SGM: You have 2 minutes to go get it. That's an order!!!
Me: Roger SGM! *falls out of rank and heads to barracks*
SGM: she needs a battle buddy to go with her!!
Soldier (M): *Falls out & runs to catch up with me. We both run to barracks* We're not gonna make it. 0625
*flag goes off while I'm in my room putting rank on my patrol cap, heads downstairs, flag finished & so did the Warrior March, * runs back to formation*
SGM: You 2 come here. If ou do this what will our ext nit think of you? You learned your lesson right? *looks straight at me*
Me: Yes SGM.
SGM: It looks like both of you are already sweating. You 2 can go back to your rooms now.
Soldier (M) & I: Thank you SGM.
