The Ordinary “B” Oil

The main ingredients are caprylic triglyceride (glycerin + coconut oil) and squalane so to me this looks kinda lack luster. Some others are jojoba, argan, and rosehip oils. Everything after that are probably at too low a concentration to do anything significant. Looks kinda like he just threw everything they already product at Deciem into one bottle and named it something new :(

B Oil! $9.20/1 oz (30 ml).

If you have a colour altering filter in place such as Nightshift or flux, this doesn’t look very impressive, but it’s a really intense green, I promise!

I went to the Deciem store today intending to get, among other things, borage oil... but they didn't have it in stock. So, since I was there, I tried the testers of the other oils and I was pleasantly surprised by the brilliant colour yet mild aroma of their B Oil, which is a blend of purified algae and various oils such as argan, borage, rosehip, merula etc and squalane. The first ingredient is caprylic triglyceride which is a coconut oil derivative.

Isochrysis Galbana extract is the actual algae species, and it looks like this!

There is definitely something “aquatic” about the scent. It’s not fishy, IMO, but I can see why people might go for that adjective. I think it’s a very vegetative smell, but it’s not intense at all. Again, my opinion. Even putting it on my upper lip, I wasn’t put off, and I stopped noticing any scent at all pretty quickly.

We’ll see how my face does with using it as a nighttime hydrator! I am using three drops for my entire face.
