Health: Attributes: Beta Attributes
There are five Beta attributes, relating to the traditional elements of magic. In both Beta and Alpha attributes, there are certain sub-abilities that Demons sometimes specialize in. Specializations are not biological, but rather affinity and interests. Like Human genes, Beta attributes are hereditary. Demons whose primary attribute is a Beta have eyes that are a single solid colour. Here is a chart in order of most dominant to most recessive, and what abilities and eye colours each attribute entails.
Fire: The most common attribute of all, Fire deals with temperature. Fire gives the Demon the ability to manipulate flames as well as the heat in the air and superheat things like rocks into magma. They can start fires on their bare skin, manipulate flames with ease and change temperatures around their bodies, especially on contact. Most are sensitive to cold or wetness. Red or Orange eyes.
Air: Air Demons are the lightest Demons, physically. Their abilities often deal with gases in the air and weight. Most Air Demons do not walk but rather choose to float. Air Demons are often mistaken for Angels, due to their light and airy natures. Yellow or Grey eyes.
Water: Water Demons are amphibious Demons who tend to live in bodies of water including the rivers of Seryphorm; especially the River of Life (Syoumoh); rather than on land. Not a lot is known about Water Demons since they tend to stay in their own underwater communities and can get sick if they are out of water too long. It is known that they possess legs when on dry land but many have a tail when in water, often being mistaken for merfolk by Humans. They are known to be able to manipulate the water, ice or steam around them. Most specialize in one of the three. They are also sensitive to heat and can dry out and even ‘drown’ in the air. Blue or Purple eyes.
Light: The second most recessive attribute, Light deals with just that. Light and the lack thereof. Light Demons can cause their bodies or other things to glow and can create glowing balls of pure light in they so choose. For this reason, Light Demons have also sometimes been known to be mistaken for Angels. They also are able to remove the light from environments and alter how others perceive light, ie, how and what people see. Most specialize in either positive light or negative light (Darkness). Light Demons are often the most adept at Glamouring. Black or White eyes.
Earth: Earth is the most recessive Beta attribute, but still quite common. Earth Demons deal with growth. They are able to manipulate earth, rocks and plants as well as cause dormant plants to grow, even growing much larger and stronger than they would naturally and causing the plants to move however they will. Most Earth Demons specialize in either moving terra or moving plants. They are sensitive to extreme heat or cold. Green or Brown eyes.
