Closing.

The admins would like to sincerely apologize to all of you who enjoyed being a part of this family, but after a lot of contemplation, we think that it's time for Blackout Records to come to an end. All of us are very busy at the moment with OOC things and it's becoming too much to keep this place running as it should.

It was a lot of fun getting to know all of you and welcoming you into our family, because we genuinely loved all of you! As Yongguk's mun, I really enjoyed seeing the idea of Blackout Records actually come to life; it meant a lot to me to see you guys interact with one another and truly consider this as another family for your muses.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply and a special thank you to those of you who stuck around from the very beginning. We hope that you guys will continue to talk to one another and keep in touch!

Event Idea: Opinions / Feedback Wanted!

The admins have been contemplating an event where we'd create a compilation album, similar to Young Money's We Are Young Money and Cruel Summer by GOOD Music. Obviously, we won't be making the actual music, but we could write threads where we're collaborating with each other on different songs and then we could all come up with a concept for the cover, the tracklist, the album booklet, etc. Since we've seen a lot of you mention that you want to work with each other, here's a good chance to finally do it!

If this event is successful, we have a lot of other interactive ideas that could branch off from this, such as "selling" the album (through KRP), going on tour with it, etc. Please like this post if you'd be interested in something like this and reblog it to share with the rest of the family! Also, if you have any other ideas, hit us up.

Thank you to everyone who participated / is participating in the Sea of Trees event. We know that these past couple of weeks were the worst time to hold an event like that, due to finals and graduations, so no hard feelings if you didn't have a thread going! We still love you, promise.

☆ Update: Event Extension & Family Blog

Hi everyone,

Due to some of our members being busy with final exams and such, we've extended the deadline for the event to June 8. Also, we changed a rule: you can now post open starters for the event without having a thread with your partner. The tag is still 'b:seaoftrees'.

In other news, we've created a family blog that will help us get more acquainted. Send us the e-mail that you use for your account and we'll give you a link in your submit box for you to join. More information about this can be found on the blog.  As always, let us know if you have questions or suggestions and thank you for being a part of our crew.

☆ blackout's first event: reserve your spot!

We're finally ready to present the first family event! We want to keep it all a surprise for anyone who's interested, but there's a few things we'd like to let you all know before asking everyone to reserve their spot. 

- It will be writing-based, like most events in KRP. However, you'll be able to write however you and your partner feel the most comfortable (para, script, novella). 

- The event will take place in Japan and the family will be staying there for one week (May 27 - June 3). It will not be music-oriented, but much more focused on developing relationships/friendships with one another. Be prepared for a crazy, dramatic, and possibly violent week. Mature themes might be present, depending on how you choose to write.

- Although we'll be choosing your primary partner, you can partner up with anyone else that you'd like if you're interested in picking up additional threads! The more family members you interact with, the better. We'll also show you how to go about writing a group thread with 3+ people.

- Please like this post by May 26 in order to reserve your spot. However, members will be able to join late if they can find someone else in the family that would like to write with them. It's not guaranteed that you'll be able to find a partner after the reservation date, though, so please try to message us as soon as you can!

- Whether you'll be able to join us in this or not, please reblog this so that you can spread the word! Thank you!

☆ updates // new rules and application ; admin y

After a very hectic weekend for all three of our admins, we've finally been able to present a revised list of rules and a new version of our application. We highly advise everyone to re-read the rules and make sure you're okay with our changes. 

Also, we have a new application that everyone must send in by May 27. However, we understand that final exams are coming up for many of you and that you have a life outside of RP-- so if you need an extension, just let us know.

After a lot of deliberation and planning, we're currently wrapping up the details to our first event. It will be done in three parts and it should be a lot of fun, as well as the perfect opportunity for everyone to get more acquainted. More details will come very soon!

Last but not least, I wanted to thank you guys so much for welcoming each other and interacting. I know it's been sort of difficult without any events to direct you, but that will be changing throughout the next couple of days. Thanks for being so patient with us and we're looking forward to hearing from all of you soon!
