Every single day of the past couple months, Dusk had visited Hannie’s coffee shop without a fail. Same time, same table, same order. She would frequent the café every day due to her finals, and studying there was the best place and it resulted in getting good scores. Plus, the male had always encouraged her to stay strong and continuing her studies which made her more confident whilst taking the test. The female started to take a liking towards the guy, as an older brother. He was calm, sweet, and overall, a great person. His café was by far her favorite ever since, but then one day, when she decided to pay him a visit after her finals were done, there was a notice saying that he wasn’t there, and that, thatmade her worried.
A week later, she happened to pass by his shop once more and she saw that it was still there. He was g o n e. Her frown deepened, trudging pass the store in despair. But, it was only then that she saw him three blocks down, all depressed and out of it. Brows being creased in the middle, she ran over to him, trying to make sure that it was him, for sure. “Hannie?” She called out, grabbing his hand to pull him back. The moment he turned around, all her worried thoughts went away and a smile embellished across her face.
The dainty female looked at the male as if she was checking if anything happened to him. Nothing was wrong, except for his expression. It was too solemn. It was too different. The boy she knew always kept a smile on his face no matter what. And then, she knew something was wrong. As quickly as that smile appeared, it was later replaced with a frown. “What’s wrong? What happened? Why did you close down the coffee shop?” Her questions bombarded the guy, wanting to know what was going on.
