Feels good getting my feelings out in lo-fi feels good! No wait time!
"Air Condition Down Below" is a Doo Wop/Gospel funny song with a tip of the hat to the great Dixie Hummingbirds. I composed the song, performed all the vocals and played organ (which I recently added as support to the "testimonial"). I put together this little tune as an audio "post card"/thank You to my former landlord and great friend Travis Goodmon who's basement apartment I lived in for about 15 months on Staten Island until Hurricane Sandy hit...The summer of 2012 was a hot one and I was pretty comfortable when my friends (the landlord)came home and cut the air conditioner on! The air would blow through a vent and kept the space cool without creating any condensation because heat rises to the top! During my move to S.I. (from New Jersey) I kept this quartet of miniature musicians made of plaster about 3" tall. In my only humorous moment of the move... as my other friend Jared who was helping me move waited downstairs, I took a picture of these guys after noticing them in my bike helmet and sent it to a friend with a text saying: "These mother...kers can play!" I officially named them the "Plaster of Paris Quartet" with the intention of developing a project around. I consider this their first song. I had a recent thought about the whole experience and it made me laugh to myself so I decided to share it. Enjoy.
