           he glances at the armoured man from where he sits across the room .    the little metal chair is cold and uncomfortable ,    it provides very little other than a space to rest one’s legs .    it’s odd just sitting in a room with someone ,   saying nothing to them ,   especially when you can’t make out what they’re thinking from the hidden expression behind their mask .         he actually catches himself 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 as he tries to figure iout his goal ,   if he even has one .    does he know that ben has been struggling ,   lately ?   or is he just ...    minding his own business ?  it’s odd .    there’s something about the silence and hollowness in the room that’s eerily calming .

            ❛    you don’t say a lot .   ❜    ben observes .    but that’s all he says on the subject .   it’s almost hypocritical .

        a half smile makes itself apparent on his expression ---- not that he finds the situation amusing ,    or anything .    nor is he laughing at her .    in fact ,   if anything ,    he finds that passion of hers admirable .    he lowers his head slightly ,    refraining from eye contact for a moment .     𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠 ,    𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗧 .    it’s just a small crack in the desktop .   there’s no telling where it came from .    it’s just an easy place for his eyes to linger .

                  ❛      war isn’t really what you want ,    though .     ❜    he comments ,    though it doesn’t sound so much like a statement and more like a query .     he turns his gaze back up to hers .      ❛      is it ?     ❜
