If you have fire in you, and we all do, people will fall in love with that. No matter how much or how little you show them. If it’s a lot, you’re a forest fire and they’ll be drunk on how bright you are. If it’s a little, they’ll be enchanted and flattered by the secret they think is you that only they get to see. The thing, though, is everyone loves a good fire until it burns them. So, when that fire burns someone who used to admire it and praise it and tell you to never lose it, when they’re trying to turn the tables because you used that same fire on them and they don’t like it, it doesn’t change anything about you. They just don’t like that the direction of the heat changed. Don’t back down. Don’t lose your fire. Don’t dim your brightness. Ever.
