hourglass room.

this probably wasn’t what noah had in mind for his birthday. if guilt was a familiar feeling for blair she might even be feeling that now. to be fair, she was damn near certain that he wouldn’t have regretted caving to her suggestions. though, she was also convinced that this wouldn’t have happened. yet, here they were. stuck in a room with family, a cop that tip toed between the line of good and bad, and, a stranger. an adventure this would prove to be.
the thought remained— an adventure of escape set before them. only, that was before the grains os sand trickled from above. looking up seemed ill advise, it was clear what this was. an adventure still, only, a little more dire perhaps?
tension in the room seemed to tighten as reality began to settle in around them. the noise of everyone in the room ran through her eardrums as just that— noise. when chaos broke out her mind had a way of silencing everything around her. a practice to zone in, to try and decipher a way out.
narrowed eyes spinning round the room. the keypad and hourglass standing out alongside everything else. numbers would be there way out, and the sand trickling within that hourglass was their timer. tick tock.
“ noah. ’ his eyes glued to a phone that— a quick glance at her own. no service. “ noah! ’ what in the hell was he looking at? when he did finally look up to meet her face her brows were twisted in confusion. “ we can’t afford to have your mind anywhere but here, okay? ’
