This is more a vent and rant than actual post but when I read Iroh's wisdom rubbed off on Zuko and Zuko then proceeds to use the Roku/Sozin(good/bad) blood argumentation I have to agree he got that part down to a T but the thing is this is not wisdom but plain dumb eugenics, which I wouldn’t call wisdom at all. Now, I know atla doesn’t encourage critical thinking but I’m asking myself if there are people who said to themselves "wait that is not wise nor a good explanation with the Roku/Sozin ancestry thing" and actually saw the stupidity in this after first time watching the episode. Like the message for the kids is Zuko was so lucky to have Roku as ancestor otherwise he wouldn’t have a internal conflict and be like his father or any other generic fire nation bad guy. Saying to young gullible kids that ancestry matters in what kind of person you turn out to be is a very wrong message and just dumb. Now I could explain that due to the backwardness in genetic research people still believed in superstitions but that would be only me excusing the bad writing/message. In universe tho it would make sense. So that was my little rant about the message in the episode The Avatar and the Fire Lord sends people watching it, that ancestors matters in what kind of person you are is exactly what I got send… which is wrong. Also having Zuko use this "wisdom" does disservice to him. Also it’s 1:53 am so excuse any mistakes
