okay so HERE is the pattern i’ll be following, it’s called the “walk-away dress” because apparently “you can start it at 9 am and wear it to lunch” but considering my track record and sewing skill I have my doubts:

both fabrics are cotton & the underskirt/frontpiece is going to be pale purple to complement the flower details. the notions i’ll be using are a LOT of bias tape (probably double bias to conceal the stitches), some hooks & eyes for the front closure, and snaps for the hidden back closure.
I currently have a size 14 pattern to follow for my mockup (which i can tailor to fit if I like it enough) and the size 6/8 pattern gets here friday!! I’ll have to wait a bit longer for the lavender print fabric but that gives me more time to do the mockup
