P.S: I like comments/feedback ; leave them here
I looked down at my iPhone and seen an incoming message from Carnell.
Carnell : yo jim is bugging. you need to get back here… now.
Carnell: and if you didn’t notice, im yelling at you. my caps lock isn’t working right now.
I ran my hand over my face.
We had a writing session tonight and I was lacking inspiration. The pressure was totally on. B5 was long overdue for a comeback and me being late for this session was not cutting it. It was time to get back in the mainstream world.
I stood up from the park bench when I noticed something shiny against the black pavement. It looked like a necklace and the only other person who was in the area was the girl shuffling through her ipod in front me. As I headed down, she stood up and my eyes redirected to her lower back and how her white tanktop hugged her curves and laid neatly on top of her butt which filled out her shorts nicely.
I tapped her lightly and she jumped, nearly losing her balance. I chuckled a little.
“Ohh, I’m sorry. I wanted to know if you dropped that?,” I pointed at the concrete.
She stared, long enough to get a good glimpse at my face. I smiled to myself.
“Thanks,” she quickly picked it up and dusted it off.
“No problem,” I bit my bottom lip alittle. We made eye contact again right before she headed out of the park. My eyes followed her, along with the 4 other pairs that watched her from afar.
Jumping over the last row of the bench, I spotted an ipod – it had to be hers.
“She’s not too responsible; first her necklace and now her ipod,” I pressed the home button and of course, it was password protected. The picture in the background captured my attention. It was her. Her makeup was done and her hair was lightly curled. She was breathtaking and I caught myself staring at the picture a little bit longer than I should have. Incoming call: Jim.
I accepted the call and before he could get a word in, I began talking.
“Now Jim, I know what you’re going to say, but I was lacking inspiration. I needed to get away.”
He huffed, “ Patrick, you of all people should know how much studio time cost,” he sighed, “Just make sure you are here in an hour.”
I walked over to my BMW, unlocked the door, and hopped in.
“Midtown Manhattan, here I come.”
“I LEFT MY BLASTED IPOD IN THE PARK!,” I screamed, falling into my bed.
“Well you know that shit is gone now. How much gigs was it?,” my sister, Kamille, laid next to me.
“64 gigs, yo. I can’t believe it.”
I opened up my laptop and signed into my twitter account.
“But guess who I seen in the park?,” all my anger disappeared and my cheeks soon began to hurt from blushing so much.
I watched her get off of my bed, “why!?”
“Because you think I’m stupid cause I’m younger than you. You are going to sit there and tell me that you seen a B5 member in the park…in NEW YORK CITY.”
“I’m not lying though!,” I pulled my hair into a ponytail, “He was in the park, chilling, like….chilling.”
“Bye,” she slammed my room door.
I rolled my eyes and scrolled down my twitter timeline.
@JazzySoAmazing : Can’t believe I lost my ipod. Bye music. :[
I posted an update and continued to scroll down my timeline. My eyes glanced over to the search bar and that’s when I decided to type his name into the search bar.
His account appeared. It was him. There was a blue verified checkmark.
I hesitated before clicking on his link.
@OwenBreeding : Chilling in the park. Music flow.
Was the update 3 hours ago. I scrolled down his page when a 2 appeared next to his name. He tweeted and I clicked on it.
@OwenBreeding: Lost ipod anyone ?
@OwenBreeding: I have half a mind to try to break the password lol but I wont. =)
