Sechshundertneununddreißigstes Bier: Budweiser Budvar b:dark 4,7% vol. České Budějovice, Tschechien Tiefschwarz, mit leicht röstmalzigem Geruch. Auf der Zunge dann leichtes Raucharoma und wenig Malzsüße. Der Nachtrunk ist herb rauchig, allerdings ohne nennenswerten Körper. 4/10

The good: this Budweiser B:Dark is a tasty malty treat which smells so great that I felt obliged to pause from drinking and just sniff the glass. The bad: the taste is too little of everything, not exactly watered down but... I guess it'd be great to drink after my midday basketball sessions, just not appropriate for something pretentious. The ugly: nothing ugly, really. It's just ok. Now that I mentioned my basketball sessions: I tried to gather a bunch of work mates and go every week to play some ball in a neighborhood sports hall. Did I find folks to agree to the plan? Hell yeah, lots. Did these actually come? Hell no - a few weeks already and I still practice alone my throws. Luckily I didn't have to pay anything for the hall so far. Due to a little chaos in the bookkeeping of the owners they have no idea how much of the hall is already rented... they told me to wait so waiting is what I do. As I know my anti-sports mates they would be happier to join a beer drinking game, like this one I saw recently for sale. Yes, it's the mysterious green beer bottle-like packaging which says Ü40 (like in Over-40) so we're all right fits.
