so you no longer play as amanda in AI:2 (at least for now), you play as blake, a woman on a survey team who is currently searching a derelict ship alongside two other people. said ship is parts of sevastapool that survived the crash at the end of the first game or whatever

my thought process here is. well you don't play as amanda but she narrates the intro and will most likely make an appearance later so this is clearly the torch being passed to another playable character yada yada.

i don't think they'd kill her in game unless they wanted to retcon aliens lore where burke explains to ripley that amanda died of old age and not some freak alien accident. HOWEVER,,, we all know burke was a dick who only cared about the company and its profits, so the story he gave ripley about her daughter could very well be fabricated and thus my point being. i am SO scared for our girl

oh dang its that time of year again when i have to figure out a costume for halloween and i panic because i am very bad at it

how hard can it be to come up with something that is identifiable, cheap, and clever and also fits the rest of my extensive list of parameters for a costume

i know it’s like, #problematic of me to say but like, i keep seeing posts and “”discourse”” and what not implying that trans masc ppl have it easier than trans fem ppl and it makes me rly, rly angry so like, please, can we a.) recognize our differences in struggle and oppression without being pitted against one another like it’s some kind of fucking competition, and b.) quit pretending that trans guys n trans masc ppl aren’t threatened, intimidated, and in danger of violent retaliation for existing and presenting in the way they prefer.

like..... i can’t/won’t go into men’s bathrooms in public bc i have been intimidated in those spaces and have felt in very real danger. i have been shouted at and heckled and intimidated because of my more “masc” clothing choices and for just, u know, existing in public while being trans masc. masc trans folk still face threats of violence and oppression and yea it’s not the same thing as what trans fem ppl experience but holy fuck, my dude, don’t look me in the eye and tell me that i don’t feel fear about presenting and identifying as i do in public bc i do and so do a lot of other ppl like me.
