Thoughts on why everybody seems to hate/dislike judar from the beginning in sinbad no bouken even without knowing about his connection to Al thamen? Also, his kill count is basically zero by now, even when his traitor move surely caused some death because sinbad maybe could have prevented it with his metal vessals. But? Sinbad saved jafar, who was in an evil organization too. Judar is a child being used, why not free him, make him his magi. Simple dislike?
I don’t think that Sinbad or anyone from the Sindrian company hated or even disliked Judal at their first encounter. I think they were simply irritated by his rude personality but aside from that there were no hard feelings. And can you really blame them? A little powerful kid appeared out of nowhere and while being loud and rude declare that he would create a war at Partevia.
Judal was a source of trouble for the Sindrian company from the beginning and his influence to Serendine proved to be even more harmful. I’ll say here that personally I hold responsible each person for their own actions and I wouldn’t blame a little kid for the decisions of an adult (Seren). However, I don’t expect Sindrian company’s members to be objective when they are directly involved to this situation. For them, Serendine was a friend who left them in order to take back her country and later she put in jeopardy the whole existence of Sindria. As for Judal, he was a kid they barely know who influenced their friend to take such action. It’s only natural for them to harbor hostile feelings for him.
Furthermore, I think it’s unfair to compare Judal and Ja’far situations. It’s true that both of them were little kids used by evil organizations. However, Ja’far didn’t harm or killed any of Sinbad’s friends when the latter saved him. Unlike Ja’far, Judal was influencing Serendine and he’s also a crucial part of Al Thamen- the organization behind the fall of the first Sindria. Right now, I think it’s difficult for the those who lost during the war many beloved people, to forget Judal’s role in that and accept him as one of their own.
When it comes to Sinbad though, he isn’t completely unsympathetic towards Judal. Even after all the bad blood between them, he still reacted out to the magi during the Second Sindria arc. I think this says a lot about Sinbad’s kindness and his will to forgive his enemies.
