A little shopping. When coming to Samui it is always best to spend a couple of days in Bangkok first not after.You can catch up on the jet lag, visit the spots ,enjoy the cuisine or simply shop. Bangkok is listed as "most exciting city in the world" one of the "most visited cities in the world" and of course is world famous for its mash of cultures old and new and its shopping.The big malls even feature famous art installations like this one (part shown) from South Korean artist Choi Jeong Wha. After a couple of days of the bright lights and flashing colors youll be worn out for sure. Morning beach pictures. Nice walk to villa Baan Suaan Serenity today. It may be rainy season but were still having great days. And the beach is so busy! Believe it or not the coconut trees washed in from the sea and not out from anywhere near this part of the beach. Loved the colors of the palm plant seed. Faces and places. Simply the best! This pork noodle soup shop, owned by Nid(pictured left) is simply the best rice noodle soup on the island in fact all their dishes are excellent . Open from 9am ish to 2 ish(island time) every day except wednesday,Thais come from all over the island as do the expats in the know. Based in Taling Ngam 150 metres down Elephants gate road Nid has owned and ran this little bistro with her family fow 25ish years that i know of. We often get Thais stop by us in cars asking where is(Thais love good food) The food is fantastic and few guests i have sent from our villa (Baan Suaan Serinity) leave without ordering a second bowl. Spice to your own tastes with condiments provided, but be careful of the chilli its strong. For pepole like me who do not like the sweet meat take the little order list i have provided. Theres no English here but they are used to foriegners and dont get it wrong. As the monks finish their three month retreat amd the post harvest season begins Samui temples start to ceremonial boat parades. Good for each small community spirit amd for raising funds for the temple. However if driving for a meeting a nightmare! Give up and just get out walk and enjpy. Random images. A nice morning walk to villa Baan Suaan Serenity via the beach had a couple of suprizses. A decorated jelly fish. And a new hammock laid in the shelter of beachline trees over 200 metres from any villas or beach cafes.
