En Australie, un mouton errant dans une forêt de l’État de Victoria a été retrouvé avec un épais manteau de laine de 35 kilos puis recueilli par le refuge pour animaux Edgar’s Mission situé à Lancefield afin de lui refaire une petite beauté. Baptisé Baarack, il s'est égaré lorsqu'il n'était encore qu'un agneau et son pelage n'aurait donc pas été tondu depuis 5 ans. Pour leur bien-être, les moutons doivent être tondus au moins une fois par an, sans quoi il leur est difficile de survivre, notamment lors des étés caniculaires.
