Russian candies in pretty wrappers, from a little store up the street.

After-nap update: They're actually pretty tasty chocolates, with little crunchy wafer or nutty bits. AND thanks to a Cyrillic keyboard and Google, I found that they're made by the Babaevsky Confectionary Concern, the oldest confectionary concern in Russia, dating back to 1804.
