Jude knows it’s going to happen before it even does. So maybe he’s a mind reader, too.

They’re in his kitchen, doing something that he’ll consider insignificant as long as Belle is in the room, being her gaudy and overrated self. Not that he minds.

He doesn’t remember exactly when they stepped so close to each other, but he’ll seize the opportunity anyway, because, really - for one, he’s already brought this stranger into his house, and two, she’s been hitting on him since the moment they met.

Somewhere, sewn between words, he puts down the plate he’s holding and kisses her.

He detaches himself from her after a few seconds, and starts to grin.
