I find it amusing (in a light-hearted sort of way) how the chevron polyam flag became the polyam flag for like, a few weeks, and then it was just kind of shuffled into the masses of polyam flags and redesigns out there, not replacing any of them, but rather being used on a basis of personal preference (as it should be!). Like the community decided, no, we're not going to choose just one flag, all of these are important to us. How polyamorous of us! How true to our colors (hah) we are, celebrating each flag for its individuality and never forcing ourselves to choose only one when we could instead be joyfully enjoying multiple. That's the polyam way, babey!!

I've only seen this once in a story myself, but one of my favorite plural tropes is when a characters meets 2+ other characters that happen to be part of the same system without realizing it. Like, Character One thinks these other characters are all separate beings, but surprise, they're sharing a body!! (Bonus points if they barely hide it, Character One is just unobservant or never questioned it for some other reason.)
