Continuing with this yardwork thing

The next project is entitled "DIE EVIL LAUREL HEDGE FROM HELL!!!!!!"

This is the hedge. It is evil.  I may have mentioned that already, but it bears repeating.  EVIL.  It needs to be trimmed every single year, by at least a foot off of either side, or we will not have a front lawn.  Whoever decided that a laurel hedge would be a good idea for this house?  EVIL!

After the last few days I've got the side almost completely hacked away:

We will be renting a wood chipper this weekend to get rid of this:

And we will be digging up these:

Once they're out, we'll be replacing them with these:

No more trimming every single year.  Yaaaaaaa!

So, yeah. I'm still with the physical exertion thing.  If it keeps up too much longer, maybe y'all should stage an intervention or something.
