[Grian grumbles under his breath too quiet to hear, crossing the bridge to the vault. He’s walking fast but not quite running. It’s clear he’s trying to get there urgently. Grian is steady on his feet. When he arrives at the vault door he frantically searches for his items.]

Oh no. I don’t think I took that long to get here? They shouldn’t have disappeared already? Maybe Mumbo went and picked them up.

[The world fades into a dark abyss. It’s sudden, as if something looms over the two close by. Grian stands quickly, looking around him. The keys on his belt jingle and his pants make noise as he moves. It’s deafening in the emptiness. The world goes quiet when a predator is around, and this is no exception. Something dangerous lurks just beyond their vision.

The world is eclipsed. He can just make out Pearl in the darkness and she isn’t even more that 2 meters away. Grian shuffles closer to her.]
