Handwriting tag!
It’s almost August, which means it’s time for most people to start thinking about going back to school! Since all of us probably have a mental list of things of things to do to get ready, I thought I’d amp things up a little and make a challenge. I’ve made a list of 31 prompts and tasks. They should keep everyone on track and hopefully get everyone excited for the new semester. Make a post every day or as often as you like. As long as you tag your posts with #augustbtsc I’ll reblog them all! Both pictures and text posts are welcome.
What are your goals for the upcoming school year?
What summer memories are going to keep you going during the school year?
What class are you most excited for?
What class are you least excited for?
Start preparing for any classes that you can. (If you don’t have summer homework, maybe just review old material)
Now would be a good time to make a back to school supply list!
Are you planning on changing up how you take notes this year?
Do you have any abnormal school supplies that you can’t live without?
What does your schedule look like? Do you know where all your classes are?
What’s your favorite study inspiration quote?
Do you have any clubs you want to participate in? (Make sure you know when you have to join!)
Make sure you have a self-care routine ready that you know helps you relax.
Are there any things in your life that you should get rid of before going into the new year? (Ex. old clothes, used up pens, toxic relationships)
What school supply is your favorite?
What does your back to school haul look like?
Are you changing up the way you organize your work space?
Now is a good time to deep clean your room and set up a routine for keeping it clean.
Is there anything you’re nervous about?
It’s time to start getting your sleep schedule back in order. What time do you plan to get up for this school year?
Plan out your morning routine.
Do you have your pencil case all packed?
What are you excited for?
Do you have your new bullet journal/planner ready to go?
What last big summer plans do you have?
Make a list of everything that you know you have to do before school starts!
Do you have an emergency kit to carry around with you?
How well are you doing with your sleep and cleaning schedules? It’s time to get serious!
Read any syllabi that are available!
Double check that all of your summer homework is finished.
Get your backpack all packed and ready to go!
What does your first day outfit look like?
Good luck lovelies!
(9/13/2017) Day 5/30 day back to school challenge!
Alright you can’t see any of my favorite snacks right now because I really did not feel like lugging out all my food and laying it out and realizing how unhealthy I can be. BUT here are my favorite study snacks:
An apple (and basically all fruit)! Apparently, a single apple can give you as much energy as a cup of coffee. I have no idea how big that cup of coffee is but I really like snacking on apples anyways!
Apple chips! I like apples. I like chips. Hence.... but also these chips are super easy to make! You just slice up some apples and bake them for a few hours. There’s no added sugar!
M&Ms. So unhealthy but they’re my go to when I just need some chocolate.
Water. Ok not a snack, I know, but did you know you get more tired and less productive when you’re dehydrated? So stay hydrated folks!
Coffee. Sometimes, you just need a small kick
Chewing gum. Sometimes I just need to do something with my mouth and chewing gum is perfect for it!
Tea. Tea is great. Drink tea.

Hello fall!
(9/10/2017) Day 3/30 day back to school challenge. So clearly my consistency is not great. The Homeric Hymn to Demeter - my current English book 5. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen 6. My mini iPad 7. Lip gloss 8. An apple 9. A calculator 10. 7 folders for classes and miscellaneous documents 11. My English supplement readings 12. My chemistry lab guide 13. My pencil case 14. My lab notebook Also in my bag, but not in the photo are: 15 My math and chemistry textbooks
(10/3/2017) Day 3 of the October Study Challenge and Day 8 of the Back to School Challenge.
Here are my before and after chemistry notes! I usually write my notes on my ipad in class then hand copy them after! So you can see my ipad handwriting (which is atrocious) and my actual handwriting (which is much better).
(9/12/2017) Day 4/30 day back to school challenge.
Study Essentials
The absolute bare minimum:
A pencil
Paper to write on
A hard surface (i.e. extra thick stack of papers, a notebook, a table)
Headphones
Phone/Laptop (some form of music playing device)
Water (stay hydrated!)
Good lighting
Some other, preferred objects:
Coffee
Highlighter (I usually do yellow, but it really doesn’t matter to me)
A few colored pens (so, so helpful for things like chemistry)
A table and chair. I find it’s easier to study when I’m sitting at a table because my posture is better and I’m less likely to fall asleep while studying!
Feel free to ask me more about my study essentials and study habits!
